2. Alternative solution for option [1] is go to Mien Dong Bus Station (ben xe Mien Dong) and buy a bus ticket at ticket counter No:5 (it cost around VND85,000/person). The bus company Xe Kim Hoang or Xe Be will take you directly to Nam Cat Tien Village & passes the front gates of Jungle Lodge & Farm Stay itself. These small local buses are however a little slower (about 4½ hours due to many pick ups & drop offs along the way) & are less comfortable than the buses outlined in [1]. They however could offer a ‘unique’ experience of a local transport encounter. As a cautionary note, we do receive some feedback from travellers that they had experienced the buses can sometimes be driven rather aggressively/recklessly along the journey.

Many inter provincial buses travel back and forth between Da Lat and Ho Chi Minh City on a daily/hourly basis using National Highway 20 (Quoc Lo 20), but few actually head into Cat Tien National Park itself.
The Park is about 16km from the highway and our pick up/drop off point is at Café Mai Phuong which is opposite the Phuong Lam Bus Station km142 (ie: Ban Xe Buyt Phuong Lam km142).
The café address is no: 3982 Ap Phu Lam 1, Xa Phu Son, Huyen Tân Phú , Dong Nai.
From the drop off point, one has to catch a local Xe Om (motorcycle taxi) for the 16km ride into Nam Cat Tien.
This cost around vnd110,000/person payable at Café Mai Phuong or at the Jungle Lodge / Farm Stay.
